Meet the market.
Formally known as Moon Grocery, this building has been run as a neighborhood grocery store since 1912. It was run for over 50 yrs by two Asian brothers who ran the business after arriving in El Paso through the railroad construction in the early 1900's. The store was then sold to Mr. Charlie Mansour. Mr. Mansour immigrated to Mexico from Lebanon before coming to El Paso, Texas. Mr. Mansour transitioned the store into a Mediterranean import grocery store. The store remained an import grocery store for over 50 years before it was sold to El Pasoan’s Mr. and Mrs. Acuña. The Acuña's purchased the store in 2020 after seeing the need for a community store that could help local venders through the 2020 CoViD pandemic. The store now offer a variety of import foods, local products and goods, everyday groceries, deli foods, and yes even tattoo supplies. Brown Street Market, supporting small business con corazón!
